While the Galaxy S line-up of smartphones may get the lion’s share of attention, the phones certainly aren’t the only members of the Galaxy S lineage. Samsung also has a line of media players that feature many of the same specifications as their smartphone cousins; unfortunately, worldwide release of the handset hasn’t been all that kind to the United States so far. While there’s no information regarding launch windows or price for this latest version, it’s definitely worth taking note of.
Samsung has officially unveiled the manufacturer’s latest member of the Galaxy S media player family, in the 3.6. As you might expect, the device will feature a 3.6-inch display. It will also feature a 1GHz OMAP processor; a 2MP rear-facing camera and an unknown MP front-facing shooter; have the standard WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS integration; and it will launch with the latest version of Gingerbread under the hood.
The device will come in either 8GB or 16GB, and come in either black or white. It seems that it will only launch in Great Britain, so if you’re in the area and pick one up, let us know your first impressions, won’t you?
