So while Samsung may not have any “current plans” to bring the Samsung Note to the United States, it looks like Best Buy has every intention of selling the manufacturer’s 8.9-inch tablet device. While no release date has been provided, the yellow-tag retailer has officially put the device up for pre-order.
The tablet, which is another Android-powered tablet device from Samsung, features an 8.9-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800. It has a 1GHz dual-core TEGRA 2 processor, 1GB of RAM, and comes in either a 16GB or 32GB model. It has a 3MP camera on the back, and a 2MP front-facing shooter. It will run Android 3.1 out of the box.
The device is listed at $469.99 for the 16GB, so you’ll have to decide with yourself if that’s too much money for the smaller version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
