Well, here’s an interesting turn of events. Over at My Droid World, the legendary p3droid has listed what looks to be the full list of files that will be available on the Samsung (Nexus) Prime when it launches. First and foremost, the device is obviously not official (yet), and these things could change pretty quickly, especially considering we’re probably still several weeks before this device sees the light of day on a retail shelf.
But, with that out of the way, the list seems pretty complete. And, p3droid has been a strong source of information for quite some time now, so there’s no reason to think the list was posted for any other reason than to show that the Ice Cream Sandwich-based device seems to be heading to market without any Verizon bloat ware on board. You can check out the full list of files right below.
To some people, bloat ware is worse than proprietary skins — so while it’s perfectly possible that Verizon tells Samsung to install a version of TouchWiz UI on the Samsung Prime when it launches, right now it seems that bloat ware doesn’t seem to be an issue. Of course, as we mentioned above, all of this could change pretty quickly, and by the time the Prime does land on shelves, there could be plenty of bloat ware on there.
