When it comes to Android, there are some folks out there who would love to point out the update strategy for most devices. And while, as Android fans, we have to admit that it hasn’t all been roses and butterflies for everyone and every device, we know that there’s a lot of devices out there with different specifications, all hoping to see some update love. Well, now that Ice Cream Sandwich is the real deal, people are obviously wondering just how long they’ll have to wait to get the update on their own device.
Thanks to Google’s very own Gabe Cohen and Matias Duarte, it looks like most devices will be seeing the Ice Cream Sandwich update, including the Samsung Nexus S. Here’s the quote: “Currently in the process of releasing Ice Cream Sandwich for Nexus S. Theoretically should work for any 2.3 device.”
Great news, right? Sure seems like it is, anyway. Now, we will just have to wait and see how long this takes, or which devices will be included in the roll-out. If this pans out, then it should be all of them, and that’s exciting in and of itself.
