HTC Sensation XL officially announced

Ever since the announcement that HTC would be incorporating Beats Audio Technology into their devices, we’ve been waiting to get official word on the next latest and greatest from HTC. Now that time has come, and now you’re looking at it. This is the HTC Sensation XL, and this shiny piece of technology is the next handset to feature Beats Audio Technology.

As for stats of the device itself, you’re looking at a 4.7-inch touchscreen display, which features an 800×480 resolution and a Gorilla Glass surface. The camera around back is of the 8MP variety, and there’s a 1.3MP front-facing shooter. Under the hood, there’s a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, with 768MB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. There’s Bluetooth 3.0, the standard WiFi and GPS connectivity, and a digital compass along with all the necessary sensors. Android 2.3 will be available right out of the box. It will be launched in Europe and Asia later this year, and there’s no immediate word of a US-based release quite yet.

from what im hearing its on a single core processor

Not enuf to lure me into a 2yr. contract

a lower resolution than the original sensation (960 x 540)...on a bigger screen... with the no ram upgrade to match even the Evo 3d's... FAIL... what they also fail to tell you is there is a 1.5 Ghz processor that has been down-clocked to 1.2 in the original. 16gb on board is the only real bonus.

Why has the resolution been bumped down from the original Sensation? That can't be right can it?

Same thing I was thinking, unless the size itself plays a factor
