indiePub set to release physical cards to download and gift Android games

One of the best things about doing everything from your phone, is that you can do everything from your phone. Play games, listen to music, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Great, right? So what’s it all missing? How about a way to go into a big-box retailer, pick up a physical card for $10, and give it to someone else so they can download some games? Perfect, right? Glad you agree, becaue indiePub has you covered.

They’re called Android All-Stars cards, and for $10 you can download a small collection of games, thanks to the download codes on the back of the card. As you can imagine, they work a lot like a gift card from any other place out there, so the process should be a pretty simple and straight-forward one. So, in Volume 1, you’ll get: Fruit Ninja, Sally’s Spa and Doodle Jump, along with a few others thrown in there for good measure. Within the Volume 2 download code, you’ll find titles like Guerilla Bob, Free Kicks Soccer, Backbreaker Football and Kona’s Crate. There’s even going to be an Atari Classics volume, which is pretty cool.

Here in the United States and up north in Canada you’ll be able to find the cards in Toys ‘R’ Us, Rogers Mobile (Canada only), and Sam’s Club. And yes, this will bypass the Android Market entirely, and you’ll be downloading the games directly from indiePub.
