That didn’t take long. We told you earlier about the site that Motorola launched to tease their next device, speculated to be the DROID RAZR. There were a few sites out there that had to piece together the puzzle, and when they did, something would be unveiled. Not surprisingly the phone was the surprise, and now we get to see what it looks like as it tumbles out of space.
But, some folks may not be all that excited about the device’s aesthetics. There does seem to be some hard edges and corners on the handset, as we’ve seen rumored about in the past, but for the most part it looks like we’re looking at a Motorola DROID X (or X2), just without the physical navigation keys at the bottom of the face. There’s still that prominent ridge at the top of the device to house the camera internals, which is a turn-on or a turn-off for most people. We can see the Kevlar rear case, though, and that does bring a bit of eye-catching goodness to the familiar-looking device.
Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that the handset looks a lot like the DROID X, but that won’t stop some people from being disappointed. In any event, we’ll have to wait for Motorola to officially unveil the device tomorrow so we can see it in action, and minus any of the official media material.
