Motorola XOOM confirmed to be receiving Ice Cream Sandwich
Now that Android 4.0 is the real deal, and we’ve got devices being named for the upcoming software, there’s no doubt that there are plenty of people with current devices wondering if they will be lucky enough to get the next version of Android. Thankfully, over within the Motorola support forums, the legendary Matt has divulged some information for the Motorola XOOM that should make plenty of owners happy.
As the title suggests, Motorola has confirmed that their XOOM tablet will be getting the update to Android 4.0, or Ice Cream Sandwich. However, while the update has been confirmed, no dates have been given. With no dates means the waiting could be quite hard, but hopefully Motorola doesn’t make those owners wait too long.

The problem with all this is, that your legendy has the title of Forum Manager and has been proven time and time again to be totally unreliable in his offerings!The other point is that promises for software updates from Motorola have been totally unreliable throughout the world. Whilst the US Xooms get fast and timely updates, the rest of the xoom world has had to go begging cap in hand to get anything. Motorolas customer support in this and other areas are documented on there official forum and many many others.Even the thought that Motorola will get ICS out in some sort of timely fashion to possibly any but US xooms is akin to telling us that Elvis has really come back into the building!
