Samsung Galaxy S III reportedly touted on internal slide

While some carriers are just now getting their pre-order on for the Samsung Galaxy S II, and other models are seeing price drops, Samsung is looking ahead. This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard about the Galaxy S III, and we imagine that it won’t be the last for the foreseeable future. According to an anonymous tipster, the above image you’re seeing above is from Samsung showcasing smartphone evolution to carrier and retail representatives. As you can see right there at the top, the Galaxy S III is the top-tier.

According to the slide, the device will feature a 1.8GHz dual-core Exynos 4212 processor, a 12MP camera, 2GB of RAM, and a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display. Some of these stats line up with what we’ve heard in the past, while others don’t. That just goes to show you that, at this stage in the game, the specifications for the still unannounced device will be landing all over the spectrum. Interestingly enough, while the device is said to be running Android 4.0, or Ice Cream Sandwich, the tipster suggests it will still have four physical keys.

We’ll have to wait and see where this ends up, but so far it seems pretty credible. Stay tuned.

galaxy SII design seems better ... if this specs were to be true the nexus prime would be a toatal fail i mean nexus S has a monocore 1 Ghz and after ~4 months samsung realesed galaxy SII with 1.éGhz dual core hope they don't do the same this time by giving the nexus prime a 1.2 Ghz dualcore ( as leaked specs says ) only against S3 a 1.8 Ghz dualcore .... btw by seeing this i don't feel like wanting to buy nexus prime which i plan to buy before the end of 2011

Took me a while, okay it reminds me of the Xperia Arc. Still it's a nice looking handset.

Its a bit like their Wave/Wave II. Those are some really nice specs.
