While we’re not going to say that this is the best image we could have possibly seen being passed around the Internet of the much-hyped Samsung Nexus Prime, we have to say it’s better than nothing. And, at least a little bit, it does seem to confirm the earlier rumors that with the Ice Cream Sandwich update, the physical button would be tossed to the side. Of course, the image isn’t much in the looks department, but we can also apparently confirm a couple of other things from it, at least.
An anonymous tipster sent in the image to GSMArena, and it does confirm that the handset will feature a 4.6-inch display, with a Super AMOLED 720p HD display. It also could potentially confirm that the handset is indeed boasting metal, instead of plastic highlights, if that shiny rim is any indicator. Also, with that profoundly rounded corner, it’d be hard to find someone who didn’t think this was a Samsung handset, even if this isn’t the Nexus Prime.
We’ll have to wait and see if more photos start to filter through, but so far it looks like the Nexus Prime is right around the corner. Who’s excited?
