The Samsung Transform Ultra probably looks familiar. That would be because the device has been available for Boost Mobile for a little while now, and now it looks like Sprint wants in on the action, too. The device isn’t the next high-end device to knock your socks off, but if you’re looking for a device that will get the job done and (hopefully?) not break the bank, it looks like the Transform Ultra may be the newest choice.
Unfortunately, Samsung nor Sprint are giving any real details here, especially not when it comes to a release date or pricing, but judging by the $229 price tag for the Boost Mobile version, we can surely hope that Sprint won’t hike up the price. As for specifications, here’s what we’re looking at: a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a 480×320 resolution; VGA front-facing camera; 3MP rear-facing camera; a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor under the hood; 512MB of RAM and 2GB of ROM; a 1,500mAh battery and Android 2.3 right out of the box. It will also come with Sprint ID for customization.
As soon as we learn something about a release date or pricing, we’ll be sure to update you.
