We’ve been hearing all sorts of dates regarding the release of the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime, the latest and greatest Android-powered tablet from ASUS, but it looks all of the previous rumors pointing to December 8th were right on track. As the title suggests, the quad-core tablet running Android 3.2 out of the box –but with quick plans to be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich– will be heading to the States very soon. But, it’s not the same date for other markets, apparently.
According to an ASUS spokesperson, the tablet will launch in Taiwan on December 1st. Considering ASUS’ home of operations, that isn’t a surprise at all. The US will indeed be getting it December 8th, and the European countries will have to wait until January apparently to get theirs. That seems like a pretty long wait, but ASUS must have their reasons.
