Sareddy Chiman Prakash and Nikhil of Hyderabad have developed a tablet running Android 2.3 named the ‘Ave’. The tablet is set to be manufactured by a U.K.-based company Sareddy Technologies which is owned by Prakash’s father. The two teens hope to sell at least 1,000 units in the first month and have set the pricing of the tablet at INR 12,999 or (roughly $240 US dollars).
The Gingerbread device will feature a 7-inch display, offer 8 GB of internal storage (expandable to 32 GB via microSD), and have 3G and WiFi capabilities. It will also sport a 1.2 GHz processor and come in just under 360 grams. How the Ave will do only time will tell, for now, they are in the spotlight and if not simply because of the fact that this was a massive achievement given the boys’ youth.
