While HTC may be sitting high with their upcoming release of the first Beats Audio-fused device to land in the United States with the Rezound, that’s obviously not stopping the company from moving forward. And, if these images are any indication, HTC is moving forward in a very, very big way with the HTC Edge.
Just by looking at the above image you can immediately tell that this phone is huge. It just looks big. The stats measure up with that assumption, too. The Edge will reportedly feature a 4.7-inch touchscreen display with a 720p HD resolution. Other stats look like this: a 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor; 1GB of RAM; 32GB of built-in storage; 8MP rear-facing camera with 28mm, f/2.2 lens, and a front-facing shooter; HTC Sense UI; Beats Audio; 21Mbps HSPA+-connectivity, but Pocketnow believes carrier-specific modifications (like LTE) could possibly show up; and a frame that measures in at only 10mm thick.
Unfortunately we’re still missing which version of Android this device will launch with, but considering the navigation keys below that gigantic screen, we can imagine that it’s Android 2.3, or Gingerbread. But with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, who would really care, right? Hopefully we find out more about this device soon.
