While we’ve been seeing plenty of HTC-branded smartphones leak well in advance of their future announcement, we’ve yet to see any new tablet devices from the Taiwanese company. That changes today with the leak of the product render for HTC’s Quattro tablet. The tablet is feature-heavy, just as we’d expect from a tablet that will feature a quad-core Tegra 3 processor under the hood.
According to an unnamed source speaking with Pocketnow, the Quattro will reportedly feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, with a 1280×768 resolution. There will be 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot for more memory if you need it, and Beats Audio technology. Other specs include a 2MP (?) rear-facing camera that is capable of recording HD video, and a 1.3MP front-facing shooter that can record 720p video. The tablet’s body will also measure in at less than 9mm thick. There will be a WiFi-only model, as well as a WiFi+3G variant.
There’s not much else to go on here, but we know that HTC is planning on showcasing a tablet and a smartphone at Mobile World Congress next year, so the Quattro could very well be that tablet. We’ll just have to wait and see.
