Word about HTC Quattro is floating around various blogs and it’s not all good. Supply chain source estimates put the tablet on track for a late Q1 2010 launch. So until there are any more developments, all signs point to a March 2012 release of the quad-core tablet that is set to be the only quad-core tablet offering by the Android powerhouse.
In addition to the Tegra 3 processor, the 9-mm thick HTC Quattro will feature 16GB of storage with an additional microSD slot. It will also feature dual mics, dual speakers, front and rear cameras, and Beats Audio. It is a 10.1 inch tablet with a 1280 x 768 display, slightly less than the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or upcoming Transformer Prime but probably gorgeous nonetheless. If HTC doesn’t deviate from their standard practice of customizing the OS with SenseUI, expect an updated version of Sense too. In any case, the Quattro is another gadget in the long line of devices coming to a store near you, it just won’t be here until next year.
