If you aren’t all that interested in the phones that are coming out right now, then maybe talking about a rumored device that could potentially find its way to reality next year will turn things around for you. The large phone you’re looking at right now is supposedly coming down the pipe from HTC, and according to a tipster speaking with Engadget, the device packs plenty of power under a huge display.
We’ve told you about the Edge, and we’ve told you that that particular device is rumored to feature a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. Well, if the Zeta (which is more than likely just a code name, of course) turns out to be the real deal, then 1.5GHz quad-core processors will be forgotten rather quickly as everyone else aims higher. As far as features go, the tipster also says the HTC Zeta will feature a 4.5-inch 720p HD display; an 8MP camera with 1080p video capture, and a 1.3MP front-facing shooter; 32GB of built-in storage; an 1830mAh battery; and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) under the hood, along with HTC’s custom Sense UI.
We love rumors just about as much as everyone else, but we think this one may be more concept than reality. However, if HTC shows off the Edge for early 2012, and then unveils the Zeta for late 2012, that progression may make a lot of sense.
