Lenovo tablet with Android 4.0 and quad-core processor coming this year
While HTC may be getting ready to unveil a quad-core tablet and smartphone next year at Mobile World Congress, it looks like other companies are jumping ahead as far as they can. Lenovo, for example, is reportedly getting ready to launch a NVIDIA Tegra 3, quad-core tablet not in 2012, but this year, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
The tablet, which you can see in a render above, will feature a 1.6GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor under the hood; 2GB of RAM; Android 4.0; and a standardized USB port. Other features include a “Special-Skin Fusion body,” which may or may not mean something fantastic for every day users, and a 10.1-inch display. The above features are set upon us by an anonymous source, so keep that in mind with your pinch of salt, just for now.
It's nice to see technology continue in the forward motion that it's going in. I wonder what we'll see a year from now? Alsmost this time last year I was enthralled with my new Samsung Galaxy Tab (original model) and now I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the Asus Transformer Prime. What a huge leap in tech in the span of just one year.
