A few days ago we told you that the changelog for the Gingerbread update for LG’s Revolution handset had been posted. And, just as we’ve seen in almost every other event such as this, the update is now rolling out to handsets. No longer is it speculation, and owners of the device no longer have to feel like they have the short end of the stick when it comes to other devices and updates.
But now the wait is over, and here’s what you can expect, other than the standard Gingerbread goodies that come along for the ride:
Email & Messaging
Email folders will now display in the correct order.
The maximum attachment size is now set correctly, even when the Exchange service is configured with unlimited size attachments.
Messages can now be stored on the SIM card. View these messages through the Settings menu, “Manage SIM card messages.”
Correctly set Out of Office without having to set a start or end time.
The popup message asking to delete accounts when changing theSIM card now displays correctly.
The cursor has been reshaped for easier text editing.
List menu force close issue has been resolved.
Issues have been fixed involving proper connectivity through the HDMI cable.
Data now works correctly when toggling in Airplane mode.
So go ahead and wait if you can, or you can just head into the Settings menu, and pull the update down from the cloud. And once you do get it updated, let us know in the comments how the Gingerbread update is working for you.
