While Verizon and Motorola are staying quiet on the impending release of yet another DROID-branded device, we know it’s coming. We even have a pretty solid lead on the fact that the device in question, the Motorola DROID 4, will launch on December 8th. We’ve already seen what the device looks like in an actual picture, but now we get to see the press images that Motorola and Verizon will be using once they finally do get around to announcing the device.
What’s more, there’s an evolutionary chart you can find below which shows the additional features people have received since the release of the DROID 2 Global, through the DROID 3, and now up to the DROID 4. Of course, some people would argue that Motorola has launched these phones too quickly, and most people would never have seen these updated features — but obviously Motorola doesn’t mind all that much.
The Motorola DROID 4 is indeed a DROID RAZR with a slightly smaller display and a slide-out 5-row physical QWERTY keyboard. Some might say that this is what the DROID 3 should have been, especially with the included 4G LTE-connectivity inside. They would probably be right. So, if you’re due for an upgrade in the beginning of December and the DROID 4 looks mighty appealing, go ahead and circle that December 8th date and try to be patient.
