You know the deal: rumors are rumors, and that’s it. We do not have a confirmation from Verizon when the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is coming. In truth, we are all being kept in the dark by the Big Red carrier, and that’s usually just how they like it. But, now we’ve got a couple more rumors to add to the pile. Luckily enough, though, they line up with what we’ve been hearing in the past.
That’s right, the December 8th launch date is being brought up to the fore yet again. It’s not alone, though. No, according to a new report coming out of ComputerWorld, it sounds like Verizon customer service representatives are a little more knowledgeable on the Galaxy Nexus than one might have imagined. Apparently, a disgruntled customer was speaking with a CS rep over the ‘net, and then continued to have the conversation over the phone. The topic? The delayed launch of the Galaxy Nexus. The representative was quick to point out that the phone was coming soon, and when the customer was transferred to a store, store reps told the customer that they would be holding a phone for them when the phone launched on December 8th.
Along with that bit of news comes word that pre-orders are set to kick off tomorrow, November 29th. It would seem abrupt, sure, but stranger things have happened. Verizon has always played it coy with an upcoming launch, right up until the last minute — unless the manufacturer has gone a different route. Either way, tomorrow may or may not be a big day, so try not to get too excited.
