The much blogged Samsung Galaxy Note is now available for the general public in South Korea. The South Korean gadget giant Samsung has been pumping out a steady stream of Android-based devices for the past few years. Recently, they have really flexed their muscle by dominating the smartphone industry with their offerings like the Galaxy S, Galaxy S II, and Galaxy Nexus.
The Samsung Galaxy Note is a 4G, 1.4GHz dual-core, 5.3 inch WXGA (1280 x 800), HD Super AMOLED-totin’ superphone that has been featured in commercials highlighting its ability to act as a digital notebook (hence the moniker). Other features include an 8MP camera at the rear and a front-facing 2MP camera for your self portrait and video conferencing needs. It ships with Android 2.3, but is also on the list of Samsung models scheduled for the coveted Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade.
