Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 for AT&T with 4G label crosses through the FCC

AT&T’s path to the LTE network may not be as bright and bold as some may like, but no one can say they certainly aren’t trying now. Right after the wireless carrier announced a pair of new smartphones for their LTE network (the HTC Vivid and Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket), the network may be getting ready to announce yet another device, this time of the tablet variety.

A tablet with the Samsung brand name, bearing the model number SGH-I957, has gone through the labyrinth known as the FCC, and as you can see from the image above, there’s the well-known 4G image from AT&T. But, right under that 4G is the LTE logo as well, marking the tablet above AT&T’s HSPA+ network, and angling right there in the LTE bands. While there’s no mention in the FCC filing what size the display is, it’s believed to be the 10.1-inch model. Obviously there’s no word on a release date or price, but if AT&T wants to get the tablet out in the wild in time for Christmas shopping, we’ll know all of that soon enough.
