We know that Samsung is planning on joining the Google TV movement in 2012, and there were all sorts of rumors pointing at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2012 as the place they would do it. It would make sense, considering the location and the fact that it is the one place where things are shown off. But, that doesn’t look like it is going to happen.
According to the Korea Times, Samsung is going to need more time to get it all baked and ready for the general consumer. As we reported earlier in the week, Samsung is currently in final stage talks with Google to get their own equipment up and running, but it looks like all the manufacturer will be doing at CES next year is talking about plans, and not necessarily showing anything off.
Of course, there’s still a bit of time between now and CES 2012, so that could change. Or, Samsung’s “just talking about Google TV” could very well mean that they just talk about the stuff they’ve got on stage. We’ll see what happens.
