The device that launched Android into the world is still getting some great attention, thanks to all the developers out there who have plenty of faith in their favorite device. The T-Mobile G1 by HTC may not be able to run the newest version of Android all that well, but it is still awesome to see the device that started it all getting a bit of the dessert’s deliciousness anyway.
Right now, there are a few key elements that aren’t working all that well. Or, at all. WiFi, for one. Rotation and Bluetooth aren’t working, either. However, Android 4.0 is very much installed on the phone, and while it runs very slowly, it’s running in general. That’s pretty exciting for a very early Alpha build, if you ask us. It obviously leaves the doors wide open, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see a very smooth version of Android 4.0 running on the G1 in the future.
