Amazon Android phones in your pocket along with $100 bucks (some restrictions apply)

Anyone think Amazon is trying to take over the mobile industry? That being said, consumers are reaping benefits a’plenty from the internet retail giant. Their latest promotion doesn’t disappoint. It looks like if you buy any hotspot-ready smartphone, you’ll get a $100 Amazon.com gift card. Unfortunately, you have to buy the phone packaged with the mobile hotspot feature, but at least you’ll be enjoying some free mobile WiFi for a few er… couple months.

There are some exceptions to the phone offerings too. While the RAZR and Rezound both come with the $100 dollar offering, the Bionic and Charge do not. This may be due to the fact that those phones are now old news and cost a measly $49.99 and $0.01 respectively. In addition to those phones from Verizon’s stable, two Sprint phones are also included in the promotion: the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic Touch 4G (that’s a mouthful), and the Motorola Photon 4G.
