Archos, the same company that brought you all those PMPs and tablets, is at it again. This time, they’re going into Chumby space. The recently released Archos 35 marries the Android OS with two “high quality” speakers that promise “high definition sound” with a 3.5″ touchscreen and of course, a variety of apps including TuneIn Radio Pro, a bunch of nature sounds, and of course GMail.
The device houses a Omap 3630 @ 1GHz with an OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics accelerator, not bad for an alarm clock. It supports MP3s, FLACs, OGGs, and WAVs in addition to playing most common video formats including MP4 and AVI. It has a front-facing VGA camera and mic for your video chatting needs and also houses a microSD slot, a micro USB 2.0 jack, and integrated WiFi-N.
