ASUS Transformer Prime available on Amazon again, expected to have normal inventory levels in January

If you have aching to get your hands on the Transformer Prime, the quad-core tablet beast device from ASUS, then it looks like your best bet at this exact moment is Amazon. The online retailer has the device listed in its different variations, but there’s no telling how long that will last. Especially if you want to get it before Christmas for yourself or someone you know, now is the time to act.

As for a “normal inventory level,” it looks like ASUS doesn’t expect that to happen in North America until January. Considering how popular the device is, and with in-store stock fluctuating the way it is, that’s expected. And as ASUS gets ready for international releases in Italy and Australia that same month, it all adds up. Here is the official statement from ASUS, sent over to our friends at Android Central:

“ASUS started filling the inventory pipelines this past week for our new Eee Pad Transformer Prime and will continue to do so on an expedited basis for the foreseeable future. We will reach normal inventory levels in January for the North American market based on current orders and forecasts. Based on forecasted supply schedules to our valued partners we expect pre-order allocation fulfillment to occur shortly and online or in-store availability in the very near future. We will continue to work closely with our partners to fill customer orders as quickly as possible.”

So if you’re wanting to get your hands on the Transformer Prime, head on through the Amazon source link below and get your order on. Or, just wait until January until stock balances out and it isn’t such a mad rush.

Update: We’ve been told that Amazon’s site is showing “temporarily out of stock,” but that the option to “Add to Cart” is still available. We’d say go ahead and take a shot and cross your fingers if you’re hoping to get one before Christmas.
