CyanogenMod 9 to feature revamped music player

CyanogenMod 9, the upcoming release of the popular CyanogenMod, is going to feature a new and unique music player based off the current Android 4.0 version. All of the core features currently available will be there, along with some new ones like custom shake actions, the ability to search the Android Market, custom notification area controls, a full theme engine, and swipe gestures throughout the app.

Most users were expecting more from the stock Music app in Android 4.0, and many (this writer included) are disappointed. CyanogenMod will most likely fix this problem for most, offering plenty of new music features. It shouldn’t be too much longer before the ROM is finally released, so just hold tight. Do you like the sound of CM9′s new music player? Are you excited about the ROM in general? Let us know in the comments!
