Droid Incredible 2 owners can go ahead and manually update their hardware if nothing has happened over the air. Verizon’s update went live today with several security patches and some phone features. In terms of security, the update features a WiFi password security patch among others. Device features are a bit more plentiful and newsworthy.

In addition, users will now be leveraging the 5 bar signal strength indicator, improvements to the Clock and Alarm features, a fix for the “Disable While Roaming” feature, and a fix which allows Push email sync during off-peak hours. So, all you people with Incredible 2′s head over to your Settings after pushing the Menu button on your home screen if you haven’t been notified of the update already.
