Grand Theft Auto III now available in the Android Market

Earlier in the month we found out that Grand Theft Auto III would be coming to the Android Market on the 15th of December, and now that the date has arrived, so has the game. Keep in mind that the title does have some restrictions, though, and won’t work on every single Android device out there.

The developers have decided to launch the game on only a select amount of devices. Those are: the HTC Rezound, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola DROID X2, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy R, and the T-Mobile G2x. But, if you’re wanting to play it on a tablet, here are your options at launch: ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, Dell Streak 7, LG Optimus Pad, Motorola XOOM, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Sony Tablet S, and the Toshiba Thrive.

The developers have said that support for more devices, which includes the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, is coming soon. But, if you’ve got one of the devices listed above and can’t wait to get your hands on it, you’ll have to pony up $4.99 to make it yours. Link to the game is below.
