HTC has been trying to keep the developer community for Android happy, and they just released some more goodies for the devs. The kernel sources are now available for many newer devices, including the Vivid, Salsa, Flyer, Incredible, Incredible S, Desire S, Sensation, and Explorer. Used mostly for the development of new ROMs, all these new kernel sources should keep many developers happy.
Creating a custom ROM for an Android device isn’t easy, but HTC has stayed committed to helping the developers as much as possible. By releasing the kernel source, the development of ROMs should go by much quicker. Any devs looking to make a new ROM based off these kernel sources can hit the HTC Developer source link to get them now. Is your device on the list? Excited for some new development? Let us know in the comments!
