US Cellular had drawn the curtain off the Huawei Ascend II just over a week ago, telling potential purchasers that the device would go on sale online in the coming week or so. The regional wireless carrier has stuck to their guns, making the device available for purchase starting now. Unfortunately, though, in-store purchases will still have to wait.
However, if you don’t mind ordering your new phone online, and you’re a new subscriber, you won’t pay anything to make the phone yours. If you are a current subscriber you’ll just need to send in a $100 mail-in rebate. And if you decide you’d rather stick to a prepaid plan, then the phone will cost you $139. If you’d rather wait to test the phone out in a store, you’ll have to wait until early next month to do so.
