Have a Huawei MediaPad? Well, good news comes from some leaked photos today. The 7-inch Honeycomb tablet never got official word from the Chinese manufacturer that it would be getting an update to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Well, official word or not, leaked shots clearly indicate that there is indeed a MediaPad out there (at least one we know of for sure), with ICS.
While we knew that the MediaPad had the hardware to run ICS and we all assumed it would indeed get the long-awaited upgrade, this has been the first piece of evidence that confirmed our suspicions. The dual-core 1.2GHz tablet features 8GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. Looks like all the MediaPad owners out there won’t be waiting long for a taste of their ICS and from the screen caps it looks like a pretty vanilla experience. Until then, you’ll get updated when we do.
