LG and NTT DoCoMo have launched the new LG Optimus LTE in Japan today, packing a high-end set of specs. The star of the show is a 4.5″ True HD IPS display featuring a 1280 x 720 resolution, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, dual-lens 8MP camera and Android 2.3. Some may be familiar with the specs, as it has already launched on AT&T in the US as the Nitro HD.
The phone has been launched in Japan with a limited edition red color, and will also have some extra features like NFC and 1seg digital TV. This may seem like the average high-end phone to many today, but is very significant in Japan as it will be the first phone sporting both LTE and a HD display. Like the phone? Too run-of-the-mill?
