While HTC and LG have both issued statements on which devices will be getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, we haven’t heard much from Motorola. We know that the DROID Bionic, DROID RAZR, XOOM and XOOM Family Edition will be getting the update, but we don’t know when. And, unfortunately, Motorola isn’t providing any dates quite yet. But, they are outlining what they have to do to update those, and any other devices, which is a nice touch.
On their official blog, Motorola Mobility outlines just what they have to do to get the update to Android 4.0 to their devices. They outline it in pretty good detail, too, which is a nice change of events. We are used to manufacturers telling us which devices will get the update, but not actually telling us how that will happen. Sure, a when would be nice, but we will just have to wait on that. Head through the source link to read it for yourself.
