Rumor had it that the Motorola DROID 4, the RAZR-look-a-like with a full slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard, would be landing either on the 21st of December or the 22nd. And, as you may have figured out, neither one of those dates panned out. While it may be unfortunately for anyone who was actually excited for the original DROID’s third successor, it looks like there may be a bit more waiting involved before you can get your hands on it.
As the image above suggests, the phone was apparently delayed from the 22nd of December, all the way until the 2nd of February. That’s a huge push, which would likely mean that the Big Red network has a few more tests they need to run on the device before it’s ready for prime time. Better late than never, we imagine. And while it may be sad that the device isn’t available for purchase this year, it could very well mean that Motorola intends to show the device off at the Consumer Electronics Show in las Vegas next month.
