Looks like Verizon and Motorola are indeed doing everything they can to bring back to life every single RAZR name variant that everyone thought had died years ago. While the DROID RAZR was more or less a success for Verizon (and don’t forget the white-trimmed version, too!), there doesn’t seem to be any stopping the RAZR train from here on out. We had already told you about the EXIF data regarding the RAZRMAX, and now we’ve got an image that tells us Verizon is getting closer to launching the device.
Of course, those of you who remember the original ‘Maxx’ branding were probably confused as to why that original data didn’t have two x’s — so were we. But, thanks to the image you see above, that’s all been taken care of. The device will reportedly be known as the DROID RAZR Maxx, which sets things back to normal. There’s no mention of a release date, but if it is in Verizon’s systems, the testing for the handset should begin soon.
