We’ve heard about, and even seen pictures of the rumored Xoom 2 and Xoom 2 Media Edition for Verizon, also known as the Droid Xyboards. Both tablets should include LTE, and the rumored specs are recapped as follows: 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 1.3MP front-facing camera with a 5MP shooter on the rear, “thinner than a AAA battery, and lighter than a paperback book”, running Honeycomb with Corning Gorilla Glass protecting the screen.
The larger 10″ version is more intended for business users, and may include a stylus. The smaller 8″ one may be much more media focused (that much is in the original name), and should include a virtual 2.1 sound system with subwoofer. They also include a number of accessories, like a keyboard dock and media dock. Rumors claim they should launch later this month, making the perfect last minute Christmas gift. All of this is a rumor, but considering how much we’ve seen, it shouldn’t take too much time before it’s real. Interested in one of the tablets? What size do you prefer? Let us know in the comments!
