Docomo, a Japanese mobile carrier, will be launching the Next Media PP N-01D (yes, it’s a mouthful). The smartphone will run Android and sport a 4-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen. Other perks include wireless charging and the ability to survive spills and dust, no doubt through the clever use of gaskets and the like. However, the most unique feature is that the phone will pair with the Casio G-SHOCK GB-6900, a new Bluetooth watch by Casio. Once paired, users will be able to receive pertinent information about their phone like email and SMS alerts, the ability to decline calls, and even tell you when you’re wandering too far from your phone.
The phone itself will sport a 1.4GHz processor. WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth will also make appearances along with the ability to watch TV from the integrated TV tuner (really). The phone is slated to drop on December 9th, but unfortunately, we’ll all have to wait until 2012 to see the watch in action.
