As much as you have vowed to never read another Verizon Galaxy Nexus launch rumor ever again, let’s face it, you can’t help it. And these leaked images of an email and a PDF of a shipment arrival date along with a launch date makes for news too exciting to ignore
Instructions from the email advises Verizon stores not to display or sell the Galaxy Nexus before December 9. A PDF also explains that stores will receive a shipment of at least 15 devices. Now I don’t know about you but that doesn’t seem like enough phones. And if I were you (which I will be come December 9 hopefully) I would be sitting in front of Verizon’s doors early enough to ensure that I am one of those 15.
Now, to ask the question on everyone’s mind: We have all of these leaks, but when is Verizon going to send out the official word? We signed up for the email updates both on Verizon’s website and Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus website. Plus, we’re following Verizon, Android, Google, and Google Nexus on Twitter. When are they planning on letting us know? Are they even going to let us know before the launch date or will they notify us the day of? Unfortunately, all we can do is speculate until we hear from them. But until then, it might not be too bad of an idea to give your buddy that works at Verizon a call tomorrow and ask him if they’ve got a special shipment in. But if you do figure it out, do us a favor, don’t tell us. We’ve had enough of those already. Let’s just hope that the new rumored December 15 release date isn’t true. That would be devastating. Happy hunting.
