If you’ve been on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for Verizon roller coaster, then you know that we still have no idea when this phone is launching. The most common rumors have the device landing in Big Red’s retail locations on December 8th, and so far we haven’t seen convincing evidence to think otherwise. That is, until now. In a new leak sent to Engadget, it looks like Best Buy is in line to get the handset on December 11th.
Now, that could very well mean that the device will be landing in Verizon locations on December 8th, but that Best Buy has to wait three days before they can sell it. As you can see in the image above, which was taken from an internal inventory screen within Best Buy, the phone is set to fill up stock on December 11th. Now, that could mean it goes on sale December 11th, or it could mean it goes on sale the next day, a week from then, or even longer. There’s no telling, to be honest.
As the original report suggests, there are some discrepancies in what we’re looking at. We know that Google has the Galaxy Nexus listed as weighing in at 150g, but Best Buy has it listed as 140g. Similarly, Google has the phone measuring in at 9.47mm, while Best Buy has it listed at 9.34mm. Nothing too huge, but it does put the validity of the image into question, at least just at face value.
We’ll just have to keep waiting.
