Samsung Galaxy Nexus for Verizon listed in store merchandising placement for December 15

There have been a lot of rumors out there regarding the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Verizon’s network. While the 9th was looking like a lock, and it would seem that plenty of stores out there also thought that, that date came and went without a launch. Now we’re looking at a new date, December 15th, with our fingers crossed. Thanks to a tipster on Twitter, we’ve got some further evidence that this could be the day of days.

While nothing is official from Verizon yet, there’s a slim chance that the Big Red carrier just lets this one slip through without an actual release date announcement prior to the actual date. So, on the 15th of December, Verizon could simply announce that the phone is available for purchase. Or, we could hear an announcement today or tomorrow. Either way, the date is inching closer and closer.

And now we’ve got this image, sent to us from one of our Twitter followers. There wasn’t any information tagged along with it, but we’re assuming that this is coming from a retailer that sells phones from multiple carriers. As you can see on the “Verizon side,” store employees are supposed to have the merchandising for the Galaxy Nexus set up by December 15th. While this doesn’t say the phone is launching on the 15th, it does add up with the rumors that we’ve been hearing all over the Internet.

We’ll have to wait and see how this one pans out, but considering how close we are to this particular date, we won’t have to wait long.

thanks, Artful Dodger!
