We’ve received two extensions in regards to Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus yesterday: an extended battery and an extended wait time for the release of the phone. With everything in the past few days pointing to a December 9 launch date, this is very discouraging news. Once again, hopes and expectations will likely be dashed come Friday, making the wait even more unbearable than it was before. Something could change within the next couple of days. But unless we get word from Verizon today, we can expect to be waiting at least until December 13, which is the new rumor courtesy of a Verizon indirect retailer.
December 13, being a Tuesday, seems odd but also might be the earliest day Verizon can release the device seeing that Verizon will supposedly release their Motorola DROID XYBoards on Monday December 12. Granted, Verizon can still make good on their promise to release this phone by the end of the year, but I think we all would be better off with an official date. But who knows, maybe this Friday was the actual release date (or still is) but the 4G LTE outages forced Verizon to push it back. Maybe if the outages gets fixed we’ll see the phone tomorrow. Who knows anymore.
