As it stands there are plenty of reasons why the Verizon-branded version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been delayed. One of the more prominent reasons, though, is that the software wasn’t where it needed to be for Verizon to officially launch the device. We saw late in November that the device had been updated to Android 4.0.2, and now another update has reportedly been pushed out to the devices out in the wild.
Android 4.1 seems to be a major build, with “minor” updates that would apparently meet the requirements that Verizon has been angling to get. If that is true, then it would stand to reason that Verizon is finally ready to launch the Galaxy Nexus. Let’s keep our fingers crossed, shall we?
