Interesting turn of events here. The Samsung Galaxy Note has been available in the UK for just under a month now, and communication regarding a State-side launch has never been quiet. And while we’ve seen the Note pass through the FCC recently, even promoting AT&T 3G bands, this bit of news is very interesting. Why? Because the latest report has the Note coming to the States on AT&T’s network, but as the title suggests, LTE is indeed part of the plan.
According to a new report from Pocketnow AT&T will be bringing the huge phone/tablet device to their network sometime next year. Sometime early next year. The model number is SGH-I717. The AT&T Note will feature a 5.3-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280×800. Just as interesting as adding LTE into the package, is the inclusion of a Qualcomm chipset under the hood. Apparently the device will feature a 1.5GHz dual-core MSM8660 processor, instead of going with the Exynos chipset that some people just expect in a Samsung device.
It’s suggested that the device will be showcased next month at CES 2012, so stay tuned.
