Samsung’s newest phone… er… tablet… hit the manufacturer’s native shores recently and questions immediately arose as to when the US would be seeing the device. No official announcement was made, but most believed that the Suwon-based mobile manufacturer would indeed bring the Galaxy Note to the States. Well, looks like that wish is about to become a reality.
The FCC received the Samsung Galaxy Note for their evaluation. The device came sporting support for AT&T’s 2G/3G bands (sorry boys and girls, no 4G). Of course, the community on this side of the Pacific is waiting anxiously for the 5.3-inch Super AMOLED HD, 1.4GHz dual-core processing, Gingerbread digital tablet to hit store shelves. Hopefully this trip to the FCC marks the beginning of the Note’s short journey to our local mobile retailers.
