Swype won’t initially be found on devices with Ice Cream Sandwich

One of the most popular keyboards out there is Swype. With the ability to actually just use your finger to swipe between letters and form words, fans of the keyboard may be upset by this morning’s news. Unfortunately it looks like the developers behind Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich changed things up this time around, and it is causing the makers of Swype a bit of trouble.

According to a tweet the company sent out this morning, the latest Ice Cream Sandwich build actually changes the way that Android reports screen resolution. That obviously causes some trouble for developers of custom keyboards. However, while that’s all doom-and-gloom right now, they are hard at work on a fix, and so it’s not a permanent thing by any means.
