For those of you with the T-Mobile G2x by LG on T-Mobile’s Magenta network, then you know that the first batch of Android 2.3 Gingerbread updates that were issued to the handset didn’t go over so well. That was a few months ago, but now it looks like T-Mobile and LG have figured out the issue, and are ready to restart the Gingerbread update for the device.
Actually, according to the image above, the Gingerbread update for the handset should have started yesterday. If you already have the update, then you will hopefully notice an improved battery, an improved performance of the front-facing camera while using Qik, and a reduced number of random reboots of your phone.
The update is being issued in the standard OTA fashion, meaning it will be rolled out. So if you didn’t already receive the update, and if you’re tired of waiting for it, go ahead and head through the LG source link below and follow the instructions.
