Yamaha releases it’s 2.0 update to Android and some other OS (iOS of course) and now, Yamaha’s customers can stream music to receivers via DNLA. So of course your main interface device of choice will be of the Android variety where you’ll be able to browse your music collection and play music stored on whatever device you have DNLA support including computers, NAS devices, or smartphones.
The app will also be able to control some receiver functions turning your Android smartphone into a remote control. Other minor improvements were made under the hood to increase stability. The app controls all Yamaha’s compatible receivers and Blu-Ray players, but the the music streaming is reserved for their receivers. Enjoy Yamahaites? Yamahaians?
